This little gem has surpassed my expactations. Simple to navigate. Full manual control. decent image quality.

Pros. Small, well built, great lens, nice looking, bright-big display, bright flash.

Cons, forget the digital zoom, Funky USB cable.

Hope they offer a model with the OLED display AND the 10:1 optical.

This camera is absolutely perfect for a Realtor who doesn’t want to get into the big heavy body camera to get the wide angle shots. Truthfully, I figured it would go back because everything I had read said it was impossible to have a 24mm in a compact camera. In fact, when I was looking, this is the one of the few I could even find. I wish I could put side by side pictures in this review-if you Google “Perfect Wide Angle Compact Camera for Realtors-Samsung TL320″ you can read the blog I wrote complete with pictures. I LOVE this camera!!!

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE USED FOR THE PRICE, IT IS VERY EASY TO USE AND TAKES SOME OF THE BEST PICTURES I HAVE SEEN. WOULD COMPARE TO SOME COSTING 3 TIMES MORE.

To reduce size and proportion of a camera like this, Panasonic took off vital care with the product. It has no kind of sealing, so it’s open to any kind of moisture, dust and sand. The image sensor itself is open exposed when changing lens(read DPreview). Once affected you send it to Panasonic Service Center to fix and after months they will tell you its better trash it than fix it. As they did to me when I sent them my Lumix DMC FZ50. So, buy something else, like Cannon, Nikon or, like I did, a Pentax K20D, same price but a real SLR with all kinds of protection against moisture and dust.

I had ordered this item after careful thought. My reasoning for having placed my order, was because of the outstanding reputation Kodak has.

Placed my order with amazon and item was shipped by All Pro Sports Cards out of Middletown, Ohio. Item arrived in a timely manner. Packaging seemed to be rather good. Opened said package and only found the camera itself with nothing else included. I was under the impression, this was a rebuilt item and it included everything stated within the advertisement. ONLY item included, was a pair of AA batteries. Lesson learned, don't place a order for a used/rebuilt item! Just in case your wondering? This lesson cost me 144 bucks.

Upon inspection, found this camera to have been heavily used. (Scratches and heavy wear marks.) My first impression, was that my order came from a pawn shop. Contacted seller and he had stated this was a used item. And that, he included a sim card. Sorry to say, this camera had no sim card installed nor was one, located within said packaging. I had the impression he didn't believe me, but he did say, he'd mail one out at the soonest. Asked if his place of business was a pawn shop and he stated, no that it wasn't and it was a Sports Card business. Google maps, (Street view.) said otherwise. No matter what you call a rose, it still smells the same.

The item itself, works as expected. Did find that it will eat a set of new batteries, in just a matter of a few short minutes. Install rechargeable batteries, and they will only last but a few short seconds. I highly do recommend that you use nothing but Lithium or like batteries to power this unit.

The camera is very easy to use and online help was outstanding. This is a great little camera to keep with you, for them unexpected moments. Overall quality of images, was good. What little video I was able to take, was good and the sound quality, was also good. To expect better, then you must be willing to spend $500 or more. Rating: 4 / 5

I was really excited to get my hands on this camera. I thought it was going to be the panacea of travel cameras. But instead, it was an underwhelming but nicely designed camera.

The good:
-Wide 24-120mm lens; really nice.
-All black body and sleek industrial design
-Dense, bright & cutting edge OLED screen

The bad:
-Grainy picture quality, even at 12M @ Superfine quality. Really sad.
-Terrible video quality
-Those gauges on the top? I expected them to be cool, but they're functionally useless. The screen provides a more useful measure of power/capacity.
-Size: It's larger than my vintage 2005 digital cameras
-Software: The menu system is practically unusable. You'll go from a full-screen menu, to a viewfinder gutter unexpectedly and with no motivation. It's terrible for a brand new 2009 camera.

The bottom line is that I returned this camera and got the Canon PowerShot SD960IS. The Canon does everything the Samsung promises, but better, smaller & more elegantly. Rating: 3 / 5

The camera would only take 10-30 pictures on a fresh set of NiMH batteries before shutting down. Tried a variety of fully charged batteries, but the result was the same. I returned the camera.

The following link shows a lot of pictures taken with this camera including the setting that the pictures were taken at. For example the tall building picture was taken at 1/180sec | F/5.6 | 4.3mm | ISO at 100 (Amazon please add functionality for adding images to reviews!).

This camera is not recommended for an amateur. It has literally hundreds of settings that only an expert would understand and only someone with a ‘photographic memory’ will learn. The User Guide is not user-friendly. Panasonic should contract with a good training company to create a User Guide. If I had bought the G1 from our local dealer, I would have returned it. This our third digital camera. The first two were ‘point and shoot’ (Kodak and Canon) and took beautiful images, but were too slow. We were attracted to the G1 by reviewers who said the first-frame rate was very fast, but we find it not to be so. We’ll continue to use our PowerShot A80.
