My son loved this kids’ camcorder, until it became unusable after only two days. The built-in screen lights up but does not show any images, so there’s no way to see what you’re shooting. Very disappointing; a waste of money.

My 7 and 5 year old love this. I did buy my at a discount and can see that it is not worth the full retail price ( but nothing ever is). You do need a memory card and batteries and a little technical know-how (where to plug in the USB/AV cords) The sound is just fine when using the AV cable plugged into your tv, don’t use the camcorder by itself for viewing or listening. The microphone is on the front so be careful not to cover it with your hand. I feel sorry for the other reviewers who don’t get as much enjoyment out of this as my kids do. My advice would be to make sure you read the easy to follow instructions. Have fun.

This is a way cool toy—again it is a toy, it is not going to by the quality of a 400.00 camcorder, but this is great to keep the kids away from mom and dads 400.00 camcorder.

seemed like it would be great for our movie making 6 yr old but after a time or two the sound quality is awful. As a matter of fact, we can’t hear it at all. Video quality is pretty bad too. I might even try to take it back since he no longer wants to play with it without sound. So sad.
