The Lowepro D-Wrap is for cameras, but not much else. I used this wrap with my Fujifilm FinePix F200EXR camera and I felt it was not the right fit. The wrap did not close as well as it could unless I really pulled at the wrap to close it over (it stretches). The wrap does not protect your camera against dirt, water, sand, etc. due to the open areas on each side of the camera. But, also thanks to these open areas, the carrying lanyard sticks out and it is easy to carry your camera around. The wrap does provide some padding for your camera.
I was disappointed that the wrap did not fit my Flip MinoHD Camcorder or Vado HD 8 GB Pocket Video Camcorder, 2nd Generation. The wrap does not adapt for any other type of video devices.
Frankly, it takes less time to get the camera out of a generic camera case (1 second) than this wrap (2 seconds). [Tested with a stopwatch.]
Also, there are no pockets in this wrap, so you cannot store SD cards or batteries.
A camera bag/case is much better if you want to protect your camera from dirt and water. If you are looking for something less bulky, this is a good option.

Got one of those slim point-n-shoot cameras? (Like an Elph or a mini Coolpix?) Then keep reading! Otherwise, move along…
If you’re tired of carrying around a big ol’ camera case and hate fumbling for it after you’ve finished taking photos, you’re gonna love this camera wrap. It protects your camera like a case, but it’s connected to it via the little tripod mount screw thing on the bottom. You just flip open the Velcro fastener and the camera is ready for shooting. Then, when you’re done, you roll it back into the wrap, and you can put it back in your bag, or keep it handy via wrist strap.
Its slim profile doesn’t take up too much space in your purse or backpack. One of my fave features. (Note the sides are open, though, so it’s more like an enchilada than an egg roll. You won’t get full protection on all sides. And yep, I just compared it to food!)
The Velcro is just the right “stickiness” to fasten securely. You don’t need mega-strength that’ll make your camera fly across the room to unfasten. It’s super easy to open and close and adjust. If you’re not sure if your camera will fit, it’s about 8 1/4″ in length when the wrap is fully unfolded, and there’s a couple of inches of Velcro so it will fit different sizes. As the specs above mention, it’s 4 1/2″ wide. (I tried it on an older model Canon Powershot ELPH series, which is slightly larger than the newer models, and it worked fantastically, with some Velcro to spare.)
Overall, I think it’s a great design. The one (sort of) drawback is you’ll have a black thing hanging from the bottom of your camera when you’re taking pics. For some, that might be a deal-breaker. But for me, it’s a handy feature!

This is a unique camera case. Instead of being separate, it becomes “part of it” by attaching to it. It does this by attaching to the tripod hole, and stretches across the body of the camera. The sides aren’t protected, but it seems to be okay for most purposes. Unstrapping the case, will allow it to fold down, allowing you to use the camera, and the thing remains hanging from it…no need to put away or find your case again. It’s different and I like the idea, but I really want the protection from a normal case that won’t allow as much dirt/dust in. It’s not bad, and it serves it’s purpose well enough. I could see this being a good choice for those who aren’t too picky about these things.

The way this product works is that there is a screw that attaches the wrap to your camera via the socket where you would normally attach a tripod. Since most folks don’t use a tripod with a small point and shoot camera, there is really no loss by attaching this product. It is designed smartly, so it usually will not block any ports, whether for charging or for linking the camera to your computer. It acts as a cushion, and offers some protection to the camera from drops, and a great deal of protection from scratches and nicks. It is very quick to velcro and unvelcro when opening and shutting the wrap.
It is a brilliantly simple product that is easy and quick to use, does not cost you any time when you need to take a picture quickly and offers some protection for the camera. Just measure your camera first, to make certain that it will fit.

This camera wrap is nice and simple. It is lightly padded and screws into your tripod port on the bottom of your digital camera and then wraps around the camera. It closes with a velcro closure. The sides of your camera are still exposed.
This is the kind of camera wrap/case that’s perfect for protecting your camera while it is stowed in a purse, pocket, console, briefcase, etc. This is NOT the kind of case that will serve you well if you need a spot for an extra battery or memory card. There is no extra storage on this, it is simply a wrap to protect your camera from scratches and dings.
It is super-easy to use your camera by un-velcroing the wrap and rolling out your camera. The wrap hangs below the camera (still attached to the tripod port) and you simply roll your camera back up and re-velcro after use.
Obviously, you cannot use a tripod with the case/wrap attached, so you will have to unscrew and remove the wrap in order to use a tripod with your camera.
I plan to use this on my vacation. It has already come in very handy around the house for picture taking.
