Sick of washed out flash photography with thick shadowy outlines of your subject, then this is a wonderful tool. Bottom line: the further the flash is from the lens of the camera the better your photos will turn out.

This sync cord has worked fine on my D40 although I have not used it much. It has a good build quality in my opinion and gives me the versatility I was wanting. The cord is durable and long enough and I am happy with my purchase.

Very well constructed. I have used Opteka products in the past and have been impressed with the quality. This cord appears to have all the functionality of the Nikon including the flash lock switch. Half the price of the Nikon…hard to beat! Great service from Amazon.

I haven’t had the cable long enough to know how well it will hold up. However, the connection to the flash is loose. If the flash is on a tripod and you aren’t moving around it works fine. But if you hold the flash and are trying to position it it shorts out causing the flash to go off. The metal that holds it to the flash is sturdy, it was just poor design and apparently never tested for fit.

Opteka isn’t a big name brand but i’ve had good luck with the quality of their products, and this flash cord’s no exception……solid, sturdy, economical and does the trick!…..heavy cable, extends beyond 6′ FYI….. sure i prefer “Nikon” components for my D60 but if you can save a little dough on comparable accessories once in a while, and they’re well made, i say YEAH >>>>>
